St. Vincent-St. Mary hosts "The Battle" featuring basketball standout Bronny James

St. Vincent-St. Mary High School is hosting a three-day basketball showcase called "The Battle" on July 2, 3 and 4.

The event features high school standouts from around the country, including Bronny James and Gabe Cupps.

Their fathers, LeBron James and Brook Cupps, coached them and others on youth basketball teams several years ago.

The event is also set to include high school star Rayvon Griffith. Bronny James, Gabe Cupps and Griffin all played AAU basketball in the past on The Blue Chips.

The basketball showcase is set to include several AAU teams, including The Blue Chips, Strive for Greatness, Bates, Canada Elite, Detroit, Mac Irvin, Monarchs and Wildcat Select.

“We’re honored that Strive for Greatness has continued to partner with the Battle and we couldn’t imagine a better way to wrap up the summer than with the Blue Chips Reunion in Akron,” Gold Level Sports and Entertainment CEO Darren Duncan said in a prepared statement.
