1 hospitalized, 2 in custody in stabbing on campus of Appalachian State University

BOONE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person has been hospitalized and two people are in custody following a stabbing incident on the campus of Appalachian State University Thursday.

App State officials reported at 12:27 p.m. that a stabbing occurred just after 12 p.m. in the area of Peacock Hall. The suspects fled the area in a black Toyota convertible at that time.

Another person of interest wanted in connection to Jack in the Box homicide

Around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, officials reported that two suspects were in custody in reference to the afternoon stabbing. Their identities have not yet been released by police.

App State authorities said one person was injured in the stabbing, and after being treated at the scene, was transported to Watauga Medical Center for further treatment.

There is no ongoing threat to campus and App State Police’s investigation remains ongoing.
