Stacey Abrams on long lines to vote: ‘It’s a poll tax when someone has to risk an entire day’s wage’

During the Georgia election this year, long lines to vote were a recurring site. Stacey Abrams says, “It is a poll tax when someone has to risk the entire day’s wage in order to cast a ballot when others can go in and out in 15 minutes. That is not only disproportionate voter suppression, it’s a violation of who we are as a nation.”
