The Stadium Tour finally makes it way to Jacksonville on Saturday, with Joan Jett, Poison, Motley Crue and Def Leppard. Def Leppard and Motley Crue have been alternating in the headline spot at early stops on the tour, but which act most deserves the honor of closing the show?

Joan Jett & the Blackhearts

  • Gold or platinum studio albums: "I Love Rock n' Roll" (1981), "Album" (1983), "Up Your Alley" (1988)

  • Concerts played: 1,617 (per setlist.fm)

  • No. 1 songs: "I Love Rock n' Roll" (1982)

  • No. 1 albums: None

  • Grammys: One nomination, zero wins

  • Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Inducted 2015

  • Jacksonville concerts: 1982, 1989, 1990, 1997, 2006, 2015

Bottom line: Jett is dynamite in small doses. Put her on early to fire up the crowd.

C.C. DeVille, Bret Michaels and Bobby Dall of Poison are interviewed following a news conference to announce The Stadium Tour in 2019.

Poison

  • Gold or platinum studio albums: "Look What the Cat Dragged In" (1986), "Open Up and Say… Ahh!" (1988), "Flesh & Blood" (1990), "Native Tongue" (1993)

  • Concerts played: 1,309 (per setlist.fm)

  • No. 1 songs: "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" (1988)

  • No. 1 albums: None

  • Grammys: None

  • Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Never nominated

  • Jacksonville concerts: 1987, 1988, 1989, 2000, 2007, 2018

Bottom line: Not a chance of closing the show, but an entertaining middle-of-the-bill act with tons of songs you'll recognize.

Drummer Tommy Lee of Motley Crue has broken four ribs and is only playing a few songs with the band at stops on the Stadium Tour.

Motley Crue

  • Gold or platinum studio albums: "Too Fast for Love" (1981), "Shout at the Devil" (1983), "Theatre of Pain" (1985), "Girls, Girls, Girls" (1987), "Dr. Feelgood" (1989), "Motley Crue" (1994), "Generation Swine" (1997), "Saints of Los Angeles" (2008)

  • Concerts played: 3,768 (per setlist.fm)

  • No. 1 songs: None

  • No. 1 albums: "Dr. Feelgood" (1989)

  • Grammys: Three nominations, zero wins

  • Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Never nominated

  • Jacksonville concerts: 1984, 1987, 1990, 1994, 2005, 2014

Bottom line: They literally signed a contract in 2014 promising that they were retiring from touring, yet here they are. Singer Vince Neil has taken a lot of flak in the last few years for not having the voice he once had, and drummer Tommy Lee broke four ribs and has been playing just a few songs at earlier stops on the tour. They put on a high-energy show with lots of special effects (remember Lee's roller-coaster drum kit from '14?) that most acts wouldn't want to follow.

Saturday's concert at TIAA Bank Field will be Def Leppard's eighth show in Jacksonville.

Def Leppard

  • Gold or platinum studio albums: "On Through the Night" (1980),"High 'n' Dry" (1981), "Pyromania" (1982), "Hysteria" (1987), "Adrenalize" (1992), "Slang" (1996), "Euphoria" (1999)

  • Concerts played: 2,337 (per setlist.fm)

  • No. 1 songs: Six ("Photograph," "Rock of Ages," "Love Bites," "Let's Get Rocked," "Stand Up," "Promises")

  • No. 1 albums: Two ("Hysteria" and "Adrenalize")

  • Grammys: None

  • Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Inducted 2019

  • Jacksonville concerts: 1983, 1987, 1993, 2005, 2006,  2015, 2017

Bottom line: Motley Crue may have louder fans, but Def Leppard has more of them and a cache of stadium-ready songs that makes them the clear headliner.
