Deputies quickly identified the suspect as 56-year-old Timothy Clark, who was wanted out of Stafford County, Fredericksburg and Prince William County, and alerted other deputies throughout Stafford.

Over on I-95, near mile marker 147, a Stafford County sergeant saw Clark speeding and tried to conduct a traffic stop, but Clark did not stop and started heading into Prince William County.

Deputies decided to end the pursuit but informed Virginia State Police (VSP) of the situation. SCSO said a VSP trooper spotted Clark speeding near Lorton Road and tried to conduct a traffic stop but was not successful. Clark ended up hitting a state trooper’s cruiser, which ended the chase.
