Stage set for 26th PIAA Team Wrestling Championships
(WHTM) – The 26th annual PIAA Team Wrestling Championships are slated to take place Feb. 8 – Feb. 10 at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Monday the preliminary round took place with the results as follows:
2A Championship (winner in bold)
11-2 Saucon Valley v 3-3 West Perry 37-30
10-2 Ft. LeBoeuf v 74 Mount Pleasant 40-28
6-2 Bald Eagle Area v 7-3 Quaker Valley 55-9
3A Championship (winner in bold)
8-1 Carrick v 7-3 Franklin Regional 69-6
1-3 Boyertown v 3-4 Central Dauphin 31-25
11-2 Easton v 12-2 St. Joseph’s Prep 55-18
3-3 Wilson v 1-4 Quakertown 38-23

First-round matches are set to start on Thursday, Feb. 8. The championship matches will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10.
History
The 2A PIAA Team Wrestling Championship dates back to 1999 and has crowned 13 different champions. Reynolds owns the most titles with eight (2006, 2007, 2009, 2017-2021). Bethlehem Catholic has four championships following a four-year win streak from 2011-2014.

Since 1999, the 3A Team Championships have crowned 11 different winners. Bethlehem Catholic owns the most titles, winning the most recent Championships for back-to-back titles (2016, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2021). Between their time in 2A and 3A, the Golden Hawks have accumulated 9 PIAA Team Wrestling Titles in 15 PIAA Championship appearances.
