He stalked women who were exercising in Hollywood. He’d then expose himself, cops say.
A Florida man who lived with his parents is accused of stalking several women as they exercised and then exposing himself in his car.
James Ducker, 32, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with prowling. He was subsequently arrested Friday morning on indecent exposure and aggravated assault with a motor vehicle charges in connection to a string of stalking incidents, Hollywood police say.
According to the arrest report, detectives began watching Ducker Wednesday evening after linking him to an attempted kidnapping that occurred on May 19. In that instance, the Dania Beach resident chased a woman who had denied his ride offer.
Investigators observed Ducker drive his blue Chevy Malibu throughout streets in search of women. He would find one who was either jogging or rollerblading, follow for several blocks then use his vehicle to impede her path, police say.
Officers eventually pulled Ducker over near the 1000 block of North 16th Court in Hollywood. They questioned him about their findings but he denied any wrongdoing, claiming to be reminiscing while watching matches at the nearby Hollywood Beach Golf Club. This only further confirmed the officers’ suspicions of him.
Ducker “has two golf courses within 1/2 a mile of his parents’ home where he had been staying recently,” the officer wrote.
After continuing to give the officers false information, Ducker eventually agreed to meet with another detective at the station where he would confess. He also admitted to “masturbating in his vehicle in front of women after following them,” the report says.
Ducker was booked into the Broward County Main Jail but later posted $100 bond. He’s still behind bars as of Friday evening following his most recent arrest. His bond is unclear.
