Stallone, Pfeiffer attend Paramount+ UK launch

STORY: Among the Hollywood heavy hitters walking the blue carpet laid out across central London's Denmark Street were Sylvester Stallone, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jessica Chastain, Michael Shannon, Gillian Anderson, Viola Davis and Kevin Costner.

"I think it's just incentive to make the best possible show you can make, you know, because it is very competitive right now and people can't afford to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on television, you know. I remember when it used to be free, " said actor Michael Shannon.

Talking about the work that goes into a TV series, actor Sylvester Stallone said, "Back in the movie days, you go to your trailer for 5 hours. If you get 5 minutes... I'll put it in perspective: it's equivalent to doing five movies back to back without a break and learning approximately 400 plus pages of dialogue."

"For me, I just think it's so wonderful that there are more streaming platforms actually, because there is so much talent out there. And I love the idea of everybody getting an opportunity," said actor Naomie Harris.

All of the actors in attendance lead shows streaming on Paramount+, which debuted in the United States, Canada and Latin America in March 2021 and South Korea last Friday.

The United Kingdom and Ireland are part of the service's Europe expansion which also includes launches in France, Germany, Italy, Austria and Switzerland later in the year.
