Standish man identified as victim of fatal motorcycle crash

Aug. 5—Scarborough police have identified the motorcyclist who was killed Wednesday morning after his bike collided with a motor vehicle near the Nonesuch Golf Course on Route 114.

Steven Lemieux, 67, of Standish died in the collision, according to a news release issued by police Thursday night.

Police said Lemieux was wearing a helmet when his motorcycle collided around 9:15 a.m. with a vehicle that was making a left-hand turn into the golf course. Scarborough police said that speed and alcohol are not considered to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
