Here’s who Stanislaus District fans voted as The Bee’s Prep Football Player of the Week

Hilmar High’s season ended Saturday, Nov. 27.

The heartbreaking 20-13 loss to Escalon in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division V Championship meant the end of the line for 17 seniors.

The Yellowjackets put up a fight, tightening it to a one-point contest in the third before Escalon clinched the game with a fourth quarter touchdown.

Hilmar entered the section championship riding a six-game winning streak thanks in large part to the versatility new quarterback Jason Pimentel brought to the offense.

The senior finished his final high school game going 6 of 20 for 156 yards and one passing touchdown and added 17 carries for 78 yards.

Despite the loss, the fans took notice of his performance, voting him The Bee’s Player of the Week.

Pimentel earned 63% of the votes in our weekly poll.

He finished ahead of Escalon quarterback Donovan Rozevink and Oakdale quarterback Jackson Holt who came in second and third place, respectively.
