All-Star Chuck Knoblauch coming to Hornell Sports Night

HORNELL, N.Y. (WETM) – A former Major League Baseball (MLB) star is coming to Hornell this spring.

Four-time MLB World Series Champion and four-time All-Star Chuck Knoblauch will attend The 48th Hornell Sports Night as a special guest on Saturday, April 13 at 4 PM. Sports Night will once again be held at The Main Place in Hornell. Full ticket information will be released soon.

The former New York Yankees player from 1998-2001 is best known for his time as a second baseman for the Minnesota Twins from 1991-1997. Knoblauch won the 1991 American League Rookie of The Year for the Twins and a Gold Glove in 1997.

He also secured two Silver Slugger Awards in 1995 and 1997. In his career, Knoblauch batted .289 with 98 home runs and 615 runs batted in during 12 seasons.

Hornell Sports Night is dedicated to raising money for The Special Olympics and local sports groups. An event that brings sports fans closer to some of their all-time favorite athletes, coaches and dignitaries.
