The Oregon’s women’s basketball roster has reportedly suffered a significant loss.

According to a Monday report from The Oregonian, star guard Te-Hina Paopao has entered the transfer portal and has left the Ducks.

The third-year sophomore started 76 games in her Oregon career, averaging 13.1 points, a career-high 4.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.3 steals this past season.

She also shot a career-best 44.0% from the field as well as a career-best 42.4% from 3-point range with a team-leading 81 3-pointers.

After a late-season slump that coincided with the Ducks' seven-game losing streak, Paopao rebounded to average 19.7 points in her final nine games during which she also averaged 4.8 3-pointers.

Paopao was the last remaining member of Oregon's highly touted 2020 recruiting class that also included fellow 5-star freshman Kylee Watson, Angela Dugalic, Maddie Scherr and Sydney Parrish. All five have transferred.

Paopao will have two years of eligibility remaining at her next program.

Paopao’s reported departure comes less than a week after back-court teammate Endyia Rogers entered her name into the WNBA draft, surrendering her final season of eligibility.

Rogers was the Ducks’ leading scorer this past season as the Ducks went 20-15 and played into the quarterfinals of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament where they lost to Pac-12 rival Washington on March 26.

Rogers averaged 15.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and a team-high 3.9 assists per game.

With Paopao and Rogers gone, as well as key reserve seniors Taya Hanson, Taylor Hosendove and Ahlise Hurst, Oregon’s 2023-24 lineup currently includes just four players — returning starters Grace VanSlooten, Chance Gray and Phillipina Kyei, and reserve center Kennedy Basham.

Freshman guard Sammie Wagner has been with the team since January when she enrolled for winter term but didn't play. Guard Sofia Bell, a McDonald’s All-American from Jesuit in Portland, and 6-3 forward Sarah Rambus, also signed with Oregon.
