Alongside the release confirmation, the streaming site has also shared a new teaser trailer (which you can watch above) and several images, giving fans another glimpse at Rosario Dawson in the titular role.
Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows former Jedi Knight and Anakin Skywalker's protégée Ahsoka Tano as she investigates threats to the New Republic.
Threatening to disrupt the galaxy's fragile peace is Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen), as he hopes to install himself at the head of a new empire.
The teaser also gives us another glimpse at Mary Elizabeth Winstead's revolutionary leader Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson's Baylan Skoll and his new apprentice Shin Hati, played by Ivanna Sakhno.
The series has been written by Dave Filoni and executive produced by Filoni, Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck.
However, one character which has so far been noticeably absent from the promotional material so far is Hayden Christensen, who was previously confirmed to be reprising his role as Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker in some capacity.
Christensen recently spoke to Digital Spy about playing the iconic role once more, revealing that he would be excited to see a Vader spin-off series should the opportunity ever come about.
"The love and support that those films get now, is very heartwarming. So getting to come back to this character, and to sort of continue my journey with him, is just a very cool opportunity," he shared.
Star Wars: Ahsoka premieres Wednesday, August 23 on Disney+, while The Mandalorian season 3 is currently streaming on the same platform, with new episodes on Wednesdays. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the entire Skywalker Saga are available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K now, as well as on Disney+.
