Star Wars' R2-D2, BB-8 and C-3P0 Make an Amusing Cameo at the Oscars

A few guests from a galaxy far, far away stopped by the Oscars.

Star Wars' R2D2, C-3PO and BB-8 made a surprise cameo at the 88th Annual Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday night – and they were a little lost.

The trio walked (and rolled) out on the stage as they struggled to find their seats.

"This is not the way to our seats," C-3PO nagged R2D2, who replied with a few beeps. "I forgot the tickets? How dare you! The tickets were your job nitwit."

Star Wars biggest fan Jacob Tremblay immediately shot up in his seat to get a better look at the iconic characters.

As they made their way to center stage and towards an Oscar statue, even C-3PO couldn't help but notice a resemblance between the two.

"Actually I do not look like [the statue]," he said. "He happens to look rather like me. How do you think we made it this far?"

And they quickly spotted Star Wars composer John Williams sitting near the front of the theater. "Oh, I always enjoy hearing his music. He is so very talented – for a human that is," quipped C-3PO.

But before getting too comfortable on stage, they scurried off to find their rightful seats in the crowd.

The 88th annual Awards, hosted by Chris Rock, are being presented live on ABC from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California.
