Starbucks will build a new store off West Ridge Road near Wegmans in Millcreek
A new Starbucks coffee shop and restaurant is planned near the Wegmans market off West Ridge Road in Millcreek.
The restaurant will be built on Wegmans Drive, east of PNC Bank.
The one-story, 2,554-square-foot building will have a drive-through lane and patio. An adjacent parking lot will accommodate 25 vehicles.

Starbucks did not respond to a Times-News query on when construction might begin and when the new store might open.
The development plan for the project was prepared by KU Resources of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, and was approved by Millcreek Township supervisors on Tuesday. The Millcreek Township Planning Commission recommended the plan for supervisors' approval on Aug. 2.
The plan leaves room for another development between PNC and Starbucks. No plan for that parcel has yet been submitted to the township, officials said.
The new Starbucks will be the fifth in the Erie area. There are two locations in Millcreek, in the Millcreek Plaza near the Millcreek Mall and at 2205 W. 12th St., and two in Summit Township, at 6801 Peach St. and in the Target store at 6700 Peach St.
Starbucks coffee also is sold at other retail outlets, including the cafe in the Barnes & Noble store at 5909 Peach St. in Millcreek.

Starbucks closed a downtown Erie location, at 502 State St., in December. The store was one of 400 that Starbucks announced it would close between June 2020 and December 2021 as it rolled out a new format and made other changes.

The Seattle-based chain now operates 34,630 locations worldwide, according to its website.
Grounded in coffee sales, Starbucks also sells a variety of hot and cold beverages, breakfast and lunch foods, bakery items, snacks, oatmeal and yogurt.
