Starbucks clash ends with woman shot in eye by rubber bullet, California cops say

A woman shot another woman in the eye with a rubber bullet in an argument at a Starbucks coffee shop, California police reported.

Officers responded to the shooting at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, Visalia police said in a news release.

They arrested Elizabeth Arnold, 43, on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, police said. Witnesses told officers Arnold shot the other woman with a “self-defense” rubber bullet gun.

The injured woman was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. No further information on her medical condition was provided.

Visalia is about 45 miles southeast of Fresno.
