Starbucks ready to open freestanding Toms River store
TOMS RIVER - Instead of withdrawing cash at the corner of Hooper and Oak avenues, customers will soon fill up up with coffees, lattes and cappuccinos.
Starbucks with open its first standalone cafe in Toms River on Friday. The cafe, built from a remodeled Bank of America branch and on the other side of the street from Ocean County Mall, has a drive-thru lane and a patio for outdoor seating,
The other Starbucks cafes in the township are either in other stores or shopping centers.
The cafe will have about 28 employees, a spokesperson said.
