Starbucks Is Selling a Snowy Cheese Latte in China

As anyone who has ever been to Starbucks knows, the coffee brand isn’t exactly afraid to test the waters with interesting flavors. Bubblegum Frappuccinos? Why not. A witchy drink with red apple compote? Obviously. A latte sprinkled with cheese? I mean...if you’re into that sort of thing.

And apparently plenty of people are! As noted by the Daily Coffee News, coffee and cheese aficionados can snag a “Snowy Cheese Flavored Latte” at Starbucks locations in China. According to a press release from Starbucks that lists the brand’s holiday drinks around the world, the Snowy Cheese Latte contains classic espresso blended with “baked cheese flavored sauce” and topped with whipped cream, blueberry flavored sprinkles, and tiny little stars.

Considering that coffee and cheese are equally delicious on their own, I’m not going to write this drink off just yet. After all, Starbucks has found success with their cheesecake-themed drinks, which is...almost the same thing, right?

Nevertheless, the popular chain has plenty of other intriguing holiday drinks across the globe. In addition to the Snowy Cheese Latte, Starbucks stores in China are also selling a Christmas Dessert Latte, which features steamed milk, espresso, and the flavors of traditional British Christmas pudding. At various locations throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, you can purchase a Salted Caramel Brownie Hot Chocolate (OK, yum), and stores in Latin America and the Caribbean are selling a Dark Cherry Mocha. Now, if only there was a way to teleport between all of these stores to taste-test every single holiday drink before the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve. A coffee lover can dream!
