Starbucks's First-Ever Turks & Caicos Store Is A Pretty Pink Paradise
When we saw Starbucks and Margaritaville—yep, the palm tree-adorned, Jimmy Buffet-approved behemoth—were going in on a project together, our interest was immediately piqued. The two brands actually joined forces back in 2017 by way of the Caribbean Coffee Traders Limited. It's a consortium led by the Margaritaville Caribbean Group that has the exclusive rights to operate Starbucks stores in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. The newest addition to that list? Turks and Caicos.
This week, Starbucks announced its first-ever store on Turks and Caicos is opening at the Grand Turk Cruise Port. The photos, which show a soft pink store set in front of some serious cotton candy clouds, are enough to make you want to book a trip to the islands (the ocean in the background doesn't hurt, either).
The store's exterior color "keeps the authentic Caribbean feel of the café," per Starbucks's press release, while the indoor decor sees a light, tropical theme. There's a huge mural of the Starbucks Siren inside painted by a local artist named Maria Camila Bernal Toro as well as plenty of tables and seating.
The menu, of course, will feature all of Starbucks' signature drinks and food offerings, but we'll be keeping an eye out to see what special drinks local baristas dream up (have you seen Japan's masquerade-themed Halloween drinks?).
