Walthers Twin Tavern worker wins Yelp Servies Award

Aleigha Spreadbury, who works at Walthers Twin Tavern in North Canton, won the Best Hustle Servies Award from Yelp for Restaurants.

The Servies, presented by Yelp for Restaurants, are the first awards solely dedicated to front-of-house staff at restaurants.

With more than 7,500 nominations and nearly 18,000 votes, eight winners across the U.S. were awarded Servies awards.

“Each one has an inspiring story and embodies the flexibility, positivity, knowledge, dependability and memorability that makes front-of-house staff so special,” states the Servies website.

Spreadbury started working at Walthers at a young age to pay for a trip to New York and quickly became a depended-upon staple at the restaurant, stated the news release from Yelp.

The Servies were created to celebrate front-of-house restaurant employees who keep restaurants running, go above and beyond for customers and bring their best attitudes to work.

Nominations were made by coworkers, customers, friends and family. Yelp for Restaurants’ panel of judges selected the finalists, and the public vote determined the eight winners.

Winners received a trophy, a $3,000 gift card “tip” and a new pair of Snibbs shoes.
