Donnie’s Tavern changing name, relocating to old Lighthouse Restaurant location

Donnie’s Tavern in Zoar is permanently closed. After some sewage backup issues, the restaurant was forced to close.

But it's not the end for Donnie's. The restaurant has changed names to Donnie's on the Lake and is relocating.

Owners Nathan and Maggie Kelly are partnering with Atwood Lake's Lighthouse Bistro owners Michael and Holly Valot to turn Lighthouse Bistro into Donnie’s on the Lake.

The restaurant, at 9280 Atwood Lake Road NE in Warren Township in Tuscarawas County, is undergoing renovations, and Donnie’s on the Lake is expected to open in mid-March.

Gift cards for Donnie’s Tavern will be accepted at the new location.

For the most up-to-date news about the opening, follow Donnie’s On The Lake on Facebook.
