Duma Meats is heading back to Hartville MarketPlace at 1289 Edison St. NW.

The Suffield Township-based meat market is hoping to open its second location inside the MarketPlace the first week of May, “as long as everything goes as planned,” Jennings Birtch V, owner of this location, said.

Why expand now?

Birtch said Hartville MarketPlace asked, and “it seemed like great timing for me, fifth generation is pretty humbling and awesome.”

Duma operated at Hartville MarketPlace from October 2002 through October 2017.

The Hartville location is planning to carry everything the original location, at 857 Randolph Road in Suffield Township, has, including fresh beef, pork and chicken, with some freezer items, too. “We are also hoping to have some local items to Hartville and our famous beef sticks and jerky are high on the list,” Birtch said.

The team is excited to have the opportunity to be at the MarketPlace again. “We didn't expect to be back, but it was good timing and we are really looking forward to serving the community in this way,” Birtch said. “… We are family, and that's how we trust you will feel when you stop in.”
