Pierre's Ice Cream Company of Cleveland has released its limited edition flavors, which in 2023 are cinnamon, apple pie and peppermint stick.

Pierre’s Ice Cream Co. has released an old favorite for fall. It’s one of three special ice creams the company says makes a perfect accompaniment to fall desserts.

Cinnamon Ice Cream joins Pumpkin Pie and Peppermint Stick as limited edition flavors for the Cleveland-based company.

“Cinnamon is a fabulous ice cream flavor,” said Pierre’s communications manager Matt Thornicroft. “It’s one of the best flavors of fall, and we’re excited to have the opportunity to bring it back after a few seasons out of our assortment. It’s an ice cream flavor you can just about enjoy any way you like."

The company says the Cinnamon Ice Cream is a perfect addition for a slice of warm apple pie, or fresh-baked or grilled apples and pears.

The special flavors are available now through the end of December at all stores that offer Pierre’s limited edition flavors.

Cracker Barrel to honor veterans

While Veterans Day might still be a few weeks off, the deals offered to those who defended America are already being announced.

Among the earliest we’ve spotted is from Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. The national restaurant chain with a location in Jackson Township is offering two deals to military service veterans.

On Nov. 11, which falls on a Saturday this year, military veterans can receive a complimentary slice of double chocolate fudge Coca-Cola cake with an in-store purchase.

And, from Oct. 27 to Nov. 13, Cracker Barrel said it “invites guests to show their support for the U.S. armed forces during Military Family Appreciation Month by taking 25% off U.S. military-themed items in store and online.”

Applebee’s brings out Spooky Sips

Applebee’s Grill + Bar has announced the launch of two limited-time Halloween-themed drinks. The family-friendly eatery has locations in Alliance, Jackson Township and Massillon.

The two “chilling mucho cocktails” are $5.

The Tipsy Zombie is Bacardi Superior, passion fruit, pineapple, cherry, lime and melon liqueur topped with a gummy brain.

The Dracula Juice is a frozen drink with Bacardi Superior, Jose Cuervo, berry and lemon.

Chili’s scares up spooky Margarita of the Month

The Trick or Treat-a-Rita will run $6 at Chili’s, the chain restaurant with a spot at Belden Village Mall in Jackson Township. Chili’s has a special margarita on its menu every month.

The drink is described as a mix of Lunazul Blanco tequila shaken with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, fresh sour and strawberry puree topped with sweet and tart Halloween candies from Nassau Candy.

It’s the perfect month to enjoy some pasta

Carrabba’s Italian Grill is celebrating National Pasta Month during October with special, off-menu entrees each week.

Starting Monday, the national chain will feature Mezzaluna Carrabba. It features half-moon ravioli with chicken, ricotta, Parmesan, Romano and spinach sautéed with mushrooms and peas.

From Oct. 23-29, Pasta Toscana will be featured. It features fettuccini, spinach and mushrooms tossed in a roasted garlic cream sauce with grilled chicken.
