Tickets on sale now for North Canton Craft Beer Festival

Tickets are on sale now for the 2023 North Canton Craft Beer Festival. The annual festival, presented by the North Canton Area Chamber of Commerce, is known for selling out.

This year, the event will run 5 to 8 p.m. June 3 at the MAPS Air Museum at 2260 International Parkway in Green.

Craft brews from 20 breweries from Northeast Ohio, including some from Stark County, will be available to sample.

Doors open at 5 p.m. for general admission ticket holders and at 4 p.m. for VIP ticket holders.

VIP tickets are $75, general admission tickets are $50 and designated driver tickets are $10. Branded shirts can be purchased online with tickets for an additional $12, and snacklaces can be purchased for $10 online.

St. George Romanian Byzantine Catholic Cathedral to host fish-fry Fridays

St. George Romanian Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, at 1123 44th St. NE in Canton, is offering carryout and dine-in fish frys from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Fridays from Feb. 24 through March 31.

The dinner choices are two pieces of beer-battered fish for $17, one piece of baked fish for $17 or a seafood platter with four shrimp, four scallops and one piece of beer-battered fish for $18.

All dinners include two sides and homemade bread. The sides offered are macaroni and cheese, french fries, a type of polenta called mamaliga, coleslaw, rice, green beans or applesauce. A slice of fruit pie is $2. Domestic and European beverages are available.

Local TikTok food reviewer hosting meet-and-greet

Local TikTok food reviewer Dereck Malone, known online as SnipingForDom, will be doing a meet-and-greet from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Feb. 24 at Cigar 30, 4836 Hills and Dales Road NW in Jackson Township.

The event, which is sponsored by Cigar 30 and Bubba’s 33, will offer free pizza and wings from Bubba’s 33. Enjoy a drink, a cigar and some free food, and meet the man behind the account.
