Latino Fest at Centennial Plaza

CANTON − The Canton Latino Fest, a free, family-friendly event celebrating community and the Latin/Hispanic culture, will be 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Plaza, 330 Court Ave. NW.

Hitchcock double feature at Palace

CANTON − Two classic Alfred Hitchcock movies will be shown at the Palace Theatre, 605 Market Ave. N, on Saturday as part of Screamfest, a monthlong series of horror films.

“Rear Window” will begin at 5:30 p.m., and “Psycho” will begin at 8 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. Admission is $10 for both movies.

Cemetery and memorial tour Wednesday

CANTON − McKinley Presidential Library and Museum Executive Director Kim Kenney will lead a tour of West Lawn Cemetery at 10 a.m. Wednesday followed by a Nooks & Crannies Tour of the McKinley National Memorial with Director of Education Ally Carlson.

Concerts at the Palace

This is a special reunion show of Earth Wind & Fire alumni who have been part of the group’s legacy through the decades and features many of the songs Earth, Wind & Fire made famous. Bands to perform

CANTON − The Kenny Eddy Band will perform Oct. 2 and Jim Davidson Band will perform Oct. 9 at the Polish American Club, 1605 Henry Ave. SW, according to Canton Country Music. Music is from 2 to 5 p.m. There will be food, a 50-50 drawing and lottery tree. Admission is $3 at the door. The public is welcome.

City of Flags Chorus concert Friday

CANTON TWP. − The City of Flags Chorus of Sweet Adelines International will present its annual show, "Back to the Harmony," at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Canton South High School, 600 Faircrest St. SE. Guest stars will be Front Page, Power Chords and Louisville's Varsity Singers.

Heart Walk is Saturday

JACKSON TWP. − The Stark County Heart Walk will be 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kent State University Stark campus, 6000 Frank Ave. NW.

Pottery workshop, Do the Mu at Massillon Museum

MASSILLON − Artist Barrie Kaufman will lead a hand-building pottery workshop from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Massillon Museum, 121 Lincoln Way E, for those 14 and older.

Guests can view an exhibition of Kaufman’s glass, ceramic and two-dimensional artwork, "A Fragile Environment," through Nov. 30 in the museum’s Studio M.

The $60 workshop fee ($50 per museum member) includes supplies. Attendees are encouraged to bring a few natural objects (seed pods, leaves, flowers, fungi, etc.) or anything that they might like to sculpt. Register by visiting MassMu.org/Tickets or calling 330-833-4061.

Meanwhile, art instructor Diane Boslett will lead a free, family-friendly activity during Do the Mu at the Massillon Museum on Saturday. Visit the museum between noon and 2 p.m. to create a superhero puppet using a sock and other materials. All supplies will be provided.

Massillon Woman’s Club sets Autumn Luncheon

MASSILLON − Massillon Woman’s Club, 210 Fourth St. NE, will hold its annual Autumn Luncheon on Friday and Saturday. Punch will be served at 11 a.m., the program “Lifelong Friends: McClymonds & McKinleys” will be at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be at 12:15 p.m. Non-members are welcome.

Faith Family Festival today

NORTH CANTON − The Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown will host the Faith and Family Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Walsh University on the west quad. The festival will begin with an 11 a.m. Mass. There will be music and entertainment, food, booths with items available for purchase and organizations such as the Knights of Columbus that can provide information and membership opportunities. Wilderness Center hosts annual Enchanted Forest

SUGAR CREEK TWP. − The Wilderness Center, 9877 Alabama Ave. SW, will host the Enchanted Forest on Oct. 7 and 8.

Visitors will meet costumed volunteers such as Bat, Spider, Owl, Salamander, Lightning Bugs, and Possum as they are escorted along pumpkin-lit trails. These friendly characters will sing, tell jokes and share stories of life in the woodlands. Following this 45-minute walk, families can enjoy refreshments.

The experience is a fun, safe event for families. Children and adults are welcome to wear non-scary costumes. Spooky Science at Beech Creek
