Starlight Ranch hosting Amarillo Margarita Festival on Saturday

Get your sip on at Starlight Ranch this Saturday. Gates open at 4 p.m. for the Amarillo Margarita Festival, to be held at 1415 Sunrise Dr. This event is family friendly. All are encouraged to attend.

At this event, several different restaurants and bars from around the Amarillo area will be in a friendly competition for the best margarita.

“This year, competitors must use our 100% agave tequila that we furnish them. This puts everyone on the same level. This makes the competition really tight. It’s going to be a fun day,” said Bobby Lee, co-owner of Starlight Ranch.

This year, there will be bigger samples than before, as well as taco trucks, face painting, live music by Sugar Rock Yacht Band, and the chance to win an all-expense paid trip to Mexico.

This event will also feature a Nacho Libre Professional wrestling match to watch while the margaritas are being sampled.

“This is happy land. It is the three things people love most: margaritas, tacos, and professional wrestling. This is the kind of event that the whole family really can enjoy,” Lee said.
