Starry Night Christmas Parade set for Friday night

Nov. 25—LENOIR — Come enjoy a night of merriment and wonder at Lenoir's annual Starry Night Christmas Parade.

The downtown Lenoir Starry Night Christmas Parade will take place on Friday, Dec. 2 starting at 6:30 p.m. This much-loved holiday tradition will feature performances from university and high school bands, and numerous community groups and businesses will enter floats. Plus, Santa Claus will make an appearance.

This year, the parade's theme is "A World of Holiday Wonder," invoking the sounds of sleigh bells ringing, the sight of a snowman in the meadow, and the warmth of snuggling near a crackling fire. Parade participants are encouraged to decorate their floats and vehicles with snowy hometown nostalgia.

For those interested in participating, all parade applications must be submitted online by going to https://www.eventeny.com/events/vendor/?id=5342 or through the city of Lenoir's website (cityoflenoir.com). One application per vehicle is required even if more than one vehicle will be in the parade. Each vehicle application must include the driver's name, driver's license number, and a copy of the driver's license in order to complete. Please ensure the driver's information matches with the vehicle being driven in the parade.
