Legendary legends only.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 7 won Best Competition Series at the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards. To accept the award, Jinkx Monsoon, Monét X Change, Jaida Essence Hall, and Trinity The Tuck came together in a clip and shared some important words about fighting back against the current anti-drag and anti-trans rhetoric being disseminated in the country.

X Change said:

“Thank you so much to the over 77.5 million of you who voted for us to win the Golden Popcorn for Best Competition Show. RuPaul’s Drag Race continues to give life to and tell the story of so many queer people and queer people of color. We couldn’t be more grateful.”

Monsoon added:

“For the first time, All Stars season seven featured a cast of all winners competing together, and it was record-breaking in more ways than one. At this time, it’s so important to hear queer and trans stories from queer and trans people, to meet the artists behind the artistry, and see the human beings there… so we can have empathy for one another and halt these blatantly bigoted anti-queer, anti-trans legislations.”

In her speech, Hall talked about the creation of the Drag Defense Fund from World of Wonder, MTV, and RuPaul’s Drag Race. Monsoon concluded the segment by showing support to the writers within the Writers Guild of America (WGA) who are currently on strike.

There’s no denying that All Stars 7 was an absolutely sickening season, and we couldn’t think of a better contender to win this Golden Popcorn!

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8 premieres Friday, May 12 on Paramount+.
