All-Stars Announced: Arkansas Activities Association releases basketball rosters

The Arkansas Activities Association released its basketball all-star rosters Wednesday.

The four teams each have 15 players, with two All-River Valley first-team selections headlining the six area players chosen for the games that are scheduled for June 25 at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.

The rosters are composed of entirely seniors, who were selected by the game's coaches from a list of top five players submitted by each conference.

The East girls team features Northside's Yoni Releford, a Connors State signee who led the 6A state runners-up with averages of 13.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals. The All-State forward was also named 2021 Tournament of Champions MVP and made the go-ahead shot in the Lady Bears' 2021 state championship victory.

The West boys team includes 2A State Tournament MVP Kolby Glidewell, who averaged a team-leading 14 points for Lavaca in the program's first state championship season.
