Logan Geas and Dominic Moore earned wins to propel the Middletown/Rogers/Portsmouth co-op wrestling squad to a win over Davies.

Logan Geas and Dominic Moore, AIW

Geas and Moore won the only two contested matches by fall and host Aquidneck Island Wrestling needed the points as it edged Davies 42-36 on Wednesday. Davies had a 36-30 edge on the Middletown/Rogers/Portsmouth co-op squad in the 11 matches decided by forfeit. But Geas’s fall in the 138-pound bout and Moore’s pin in the 160-pound match pushed the needle in Middletown’s favor.

Marshall came through with the best finish of the night for the Vikings when they placed eighth in the Junior Varsity State Championships on Wednesday in Providence. Marshall finished third in the shot put with a 42 feet, 1¾ inch toss to score six of Rogers 21 total points.
