Stars of the Day: Davis Sullivan erupts for four goals in shutout win over Apponequet
FALL RIVER — Make it five straight wins for the Somerset Berkley hockey team.
The Raiders remained unbeaten on Friday after blanking Apponequet, 8-0, in a league matchup at the Driscoll Memorial Skating Rink.
Davis Sullivan led SB (5-0) with four goals and an assist. Josh Pacheco finished with a goal and two assists.
Other goal scorers were Mason Sullivan, Jack Rothwell, and Brayden Pimental. Dylan Messier also chipped in with two assists.
Brandon Silva made 14 saves in net for the shutout.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Durfee 60, Tolman (R.I.) 30
The Lady Hilltoppers got back in the win column after beating non-league opponent Tolman (R.I.) at home.
Mackenzie Carreiro led Durfee (4-3) with a game-high 19 points.
Mya Hayes-Paulette chipped in with 15 points and Julia Hargraves finished with nine points.

Somerset Berkley 52, Fairhaven 35
The Lady Raiders put forth a great team effort in their win over league opponent Fairhaven.
Gabriella Nugent led the way for SB (4-3) with a team-high 17 points. Karlie Cosme finished with 10 points while Mia Gentile added nine points.
Allie Powers had eight points in the win.
The Raiders host Old Rochester next Tuesday.
Case 54, Greater New Bedford 20
The Lady Cardinals defeated league opponent Greater New Bedford.
Brooke Orton led the way for Case with 20 points, four steals, and four assists.
Liberty Gazaille finished with 13 points and nine rebounds. Abigail Sirois chipped in with nine points, 10 rebounds, and five steals.
Bishop Stang 53, Cardinal Spellman 39
The Lady Spartans won a big road game against Cardinal Spellman.
Kate Carreau led Stang (5-2; 3-2 in CCL) with a team-high 14 points. Bridget Markey finished with 13 points, including a three-pointer. Sophie Caldwell had 10 points, including three 3-pointers.
Other scorers include Eleanor Senna (five), Leah Katz (four), Ali James (four), and Kendyll Riedl (three points).
The Spartans play a rematch with Spellman on Tuesday.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Somerset Berkley 60, Fairhaven 59, OT
The Raiders came from behind and beat league opponent Fairhaven in overtime.
Ethan Dias led SB (3-4; 2-2 in SCC) with a team-high 24 pts and 11 rebounds. Colton Baptiste finished with 10 points and eight rebounds in the win.
Mason Medeiros’ clutch three-pointer in the fourth quarter ended a 9-3 run that sent the contest into overtime. Will Dionne added a big three-pointer during the comeback as well.
The Raiders trailed at halftime, 29-18.
SB travels to Old Rochester next Tuesday.

The Cardinals lost a close game with league opponent Greater New Bedford.
Hayden Cayton paved the way for Case (1-4; 0-3 in SCC) with a team-high 22 points.
Landon Cayton chipped in with 16 points.
The Cardinals trailed by one at halftime, 30-29.
Cardinal Spellman 55, Bishop Stang 45
The Spartans fall to Cardinal Spellman at home.
Frank Vollaro led Stang with 16 points and nine rebounds.
Luis Vega finished with 11 points.
The Spartans host Austin Prep today.
