Stars of the Day: Manning hat trick leads Southeastern/Bristol-Plymouth hockey to win

RAYNHAM — The Southeastern/Bristol-Plymouth hockey team is back in the win column.

Led by a hat trick from junior forward Bobby Manning, the Hawks downed Blue Hills 5-1 in Mayflower League action at the Raynham IcePlex to improve to 6-2 overall on the season.

In addition to the three goals by Manning, senior forward/defenseman Keagan Bunker had a goal and three assists while junior forward John Whalen also found the back of the net. Senior forward/defenseman Nolan Sturdevant had four assists while senior goalie Ryan LeBaron made 14 saves.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Norwood 58, Bridgewater-Raynham 25

The Trojans fell to the Mustangs at home in non-league action and are now 7-3 on the season.

Senior Fiona Kelly led the way for B-R with eight points and two steals while sophomore Natalia Hall-Rose had seven points and three rebounds and freshman Brenna Woodbury had five points and two rebounds.

GYMNASTICS

Oliver Ames 139.8, Taunton 127.2

The Taunton Tigers fell to the Oliver Ames Tigers in Hockomock League action on the road at Spectrum Gymnastics and are now 0-4 on the season.
