How big was Def Leppard back in the day

Def Leppard formed in Sheffield, England, in 1976 but didn't become a major act until 1983, with the release of its album "Pyromania" and to big hits, "Photograph" and "Rock of Ages."

The band filled arenas with its stadium-rock sound throughout the decade. Success continued into the late '80s after releasing "Hysteria" in 1987, with hits like "Love Bites," "Pour Some Sugar on Me," "Hysteria," "Armageddon It" and "Animal."

"Def Leppard and Journey will be reuniting and hitting the road together for the summer stadium tour with Steve Miller, Cheap Trick and Heart on select shows, which makes for an amazing night of music!" Def Leppard lead singer Joe Elliott said in a news release.

Journey charted major hits including "Don't Stop Believin' "

The Journey sound never truly left because Journey founder Neal Schon has remained with the band throughout the years. His screeching guitar sound set the tone on so many hits, including "Wheel in the Sky," "Stone in Love," "Anyway You Want It," "Separate Ways" and "Don't Stop Believin'."

Arnel Pineda replaced Steve Perry on lead vocals, with other members: Jonathan Cain (keyboards, backing vocals), Deen Castronovo (drums, vocals), Jason Derlatka (keyboards, vocals) and Todd Jensen (bass).
