State cancels this weekend's turnpike closings in Jupiter; all exits will be open

The Florida Department of Transportation said on Friday that its plans to demolish the toll booths have been canceled for now. It did not cite a reason for its change in plans.

The project will be rescheduled for a later date. Shawn Reed, Jupiter's public information officer, said Friday that the town didn't yet know when construction at exit 116 will be rescheduled.

The plan was to close the exits from early Saturday until early Monday and redirect traffic along Interstate 95 to exits in Palm Beach Gardens and in Martin County.
