All-State champs and pivotal pins: South Shore high school wrestling All-Scholastics

Spring is here and the wrestling mats are now rolled up and tucked away to the corner of the gymnasiums as the season has come to an end.

There were plenty of standouts on the South Shore this winter. Bridgewater-Raynham won the Division 2 South Sectional title. Nathan Leach, who qualified for nationals, led the way for the Trojans. Whitman-Hanson's Charlie Lussier had a record-setting season.

Brockton was the runner-up at the Div. 1 South Sectionals while Duxbury was No. 2 in Div. 3 South.

He finished first at the Div. 2 South Sectionals, fourth at Div. 2 States, and eighth at All-States. ... He's a captain who was also a Hockomock League All-Star with a 54-15 career record. ... "Once he was cleared from injury and returned mid-season, he was lights out for us every time he was on the mat," said Oliver Ames coach John McKeon.

He has had some of the best coaches assist him from Brockton to his club MetroWest Coaches.
