Apr. 21—A Weatherly man faces seven felonies after Pennsylvania State Police investigated a child pornography case.

Dominic J. Caravella, 24, was charged with three counts each child pornography and disseminating photograph or film of child sex acts. He also faces a count of criminal use of a communication facility by a trooper assigned to the Southeast Computer Crime Task Force.

His bail was set at $75,000 on April 15 by Magisterial District Judge Joseph Homanko, Weatherly, which he later posted through a bondsman.

According to arrest papers:

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said they were alerted to three photographs and two videos uploaded to the computer application KIK on Feb. 21 by a user with the screen name: 76novass76. The associated internet protocol address was owned and maintained by Broadband Atlantic and the subscriber was Caravella.

When troopers served a search warrant at his Dunnigan Street home April 15, Caravella admitted to viewing child pornography, saying he would download and then delete the files. Troopers said they previewed the device he claimed ownership of on scene and found two child porn files.
