State contractors group has Schuylkill County representation

Feb. 19—The Keystone Contractors Association announced the election of Howard Bernstein as its 43rd president.

Bernstein, who will serve a two-year term, is president of Penn Installations, a commercial construction interior contractor based in Summerhill.

Other KCA officers are vice president, Joseph Orr III, J.C. Orr & Son Inc., Altoona; secretary, David Miorelli, Joseph Miorelli & Co., Hazleton; and treasurer, David Jones, Cresswell Brothers General Contractors Inc., Pottsville.

"The KCA is fortunate to have dedicated and visionary construction executives steering the Association towards improving the construction industry," Jon O'Brien, executive director, was quoted in a news release.

Joining the officers on the KCA board are the at-large directors, Mark Anskis, Bill Anskis Co. Inc., Elysburg; William Brightbill, Modernfold of Central PA, Dillsburg; James Darr, Darr Construction, Somerset; Robert Leahey, McCrossin, Bellefonte; James Novinger, Novinger's Inc., Harrisburg; Gregory Quandel, Quandel Enterprises LLC, Harrisburg; Noble "Bud" Quandel Enterprises; Jeffrey Smith, Alexander Building Construction Co., Harrisburg; and Ronald Virostek, Central Contractors Supply Co., Johnstown.

KCA represents the leading commercial construction companies in Pennsylvania.

It provides member services, such as education and training; career development; safety; labor relations; community service; and government relations.
