State of Emergency Declared as Flooding Hits Detroit

Roads were submerged in Detroit, Michigan, on June 26, after heavy rainfall brought severe flooding to the city. Michigan Gov Gretchen Whitmer declared a state of emergency.

A number of roads around the Detroit metropolitan area closed due to flooding on Saturday, according to local news reports. Michigan State Police urged patience as they responded to 911 calls.
