Dansville may have lost a major component from its 2022 run to the girls basketball state quarterfinals in Erin Sherwood.

But the Aggies still managed to build on that success this winter.

Megan Zeitz was a big reason why.

Dansville was ranked among the top 10 teams in Division 3 all season by the Associated Press while winning the outright CMAC championship and winning a district title. Zeitz was honored for her role in that success and was voted first team all-state by the AP.

Zeitz averaged 15.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.9 assists while helping the Aggies finish 21-3. She shot 47.5% from the field for Dansville, which reached a regional final and had a four-win improvement from last season.

Buchanan senior Faith Carson, who is slated to play at Ohio State, leads the Division 3 all-state team as the player of the year. Hemlock's Scott Neumeyer was selected the coach of the year after guiding his squad to a state championship.
