May 25—WASHINGTON — In this week's state golf tournaments, nine Basin golfers qualified for Round 2 of their respective tournaments, including four with top-15 finishes.

2A Boys

Ephrata Boys — finished sixth as a team with 54 points.

Ephrata's Kenji Pickeral — shot 77 in Round 1, 74 in Round 2; 151 total, 14th place.

Ephrata's Carter Burns — shot 80 in Round 1, 78 in Round 2; 158 total, tied-26th place.

Ephrata's Max Hewitt — shot 80 in Round 1, 78 in Round 2; 158 total, tied-26th place.

Othello's TJ Murdock — shot 81 in Round 1, 85 in Round 2; 166 total, 36th place.

2A Girls

Ephrata's Jayme Dwight — shot 80 in Round 1, 78 in Round 2; 158 total, tied-eighth place.

Othello's Mariah Murdock — shot 82 in Round 1, 91 in Round 2; 183 total, tied-24th place.
