Who won The State Journal-Register's athlete of the week?
Riverton girls basketball player Hollie Petitt won The State Journal-Register's athlete of the week award.
Petitt won won with 71.61% of the vote and 951 votes all together, finishing ahead of Williamsville boys basketball player Hunter Riley who had 252 votes and Rochester girls basketball player Emma Dixon's 71. Results are below.
Petitt scored a game-high 13 points in a 49-20 Sangamo Conference win over Mason City Illini Central on Thursday, Dec. 2. She added 11 rebounds and four assists to the effort.
The poll closed at noon Friday.
