State pageant director announces Mrs. North Dakota, other title-winners

May 28—GRAND FORKS — Klaudia Holkup and Jessica Rerick, both of Grand Forks, were crowned Mrs. North Dakota America 2022 and Mrs. North Dakota American 2022, respectively, at a pageant held recently at the Empire Arts Center.

Faith Farmer, Bottineau, was selected as Miss North Dakota for America Strong 2022, according to pageant director Meg Morley.

These three queens will advance to the Mrs. America, Mrs. American and Miss for America Strong pageants in August in Las Vegas. There, as in the state pageant, they will compete in the areas of private interview, swimsuit, state costume and evening gown.

Other contestants who received titles are:

Rebecca DeCoteau of Bottineau, Teen Miss for North Dakota 2022, daughter of Marty Espe and Heather DeCoteau;

McKenzie Azure, Dunseith, Junior Teen for North Dakota 2022, daughter of Daryl and Courtney Azure; and

Vivienne and Gigi Goodman, Junior Miss for Grand Forks 2022 and Little Miss for Grand Forks 2022, respectively. Their parents are Brian and Chulita Goodman of Grand Forks.

Other titles were bestowed on contestants: Bianca Price, Junior Miss for Grand Forks 2023, daughter and Mitch and Kristen Price of Grand Forks; Shawna Keitzman, Miss Red River Valley for American Strong 2023; and Ashley Beland, Mrs. Downtown Grand Forks America 2023, both of Grand Forks. They will compete in the state pageant next April.

Other awardees are: Photogenic Award, Gigi Goodman; Overall Best State Costume, Rebecca DeCoteau; Overall Best Activewear, Vivienne and Gigi Goodman; Overall Best Swimsuit, Faith Farmer; Overall Best Evening Gown, Gigi Goodman;

Publication Award, Vivienne and Gigi Goodman, who submitted optional program ad pages to promote their titles and corporate sponsors; Sunshine Award, Sawyer Belcourt, Bottineau, Junior Miss for North Dakota 2021, who recruited the most new pageant contestants during her reign;

Congeniality Award, Sarah Malsom, Grand Forks; Director's Choice, Devon Abler, Grand Forks; and Queen of Queens, Laura Kleihauer, Bismarck, Miss North Dakota for America Strong 2021.
