State patrol: 62-year-old man dies 2 weeks after he crashes motorcycle in Clermont County

A Goshen man has died two weeks after he crashed a motorcycle in Wayne Township. according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened just after 7 p.m. on May 23 on Newtonsville Road near Lake Drive, officials said in a news release Tuesday.

An investigation showed that 62-year-old Joseph Cales was driving a 2006 Harley Davidson Street Glide northwest on Newtonsville Road when he veered off the roadway, the release said.

Cales was thrown from the motorcycle before it stopped off the right side of the road, officials said. He was taken by helicopter to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and died from his injuries on Tuesday.

Officials said the crash remains under investigation.
