State police identify 22-year-old Texas man fatally shot in Wilmington on Saturday night
Police have identified the 22-year-old man fatally shot in Wilmington on Saturday as Malik Benson of Beaumont, Texas.
State police said that Benson was shot while parked in his car outside Eagle Tobacco Shop at 3505 Miller Road at 7:17 p.m. He then drove to P.S. du Pont Middle School and crashed through the fence, where troopers said they later found him with a fatal gunshot wound in his upper body.
The shooting is still under investigation.
