State Police To Increase Patrols For Cinco De Mayo

Maryland State Police will increase patrols starting Thursday for Cinco de Mayo weekend.

- Well, with Cinco de Mayo tomorrow, Maryland state police expecting an increase in impaired drivers, and that is why they are now stepping up enforcement, they say.

So each [? barrack ?] will have extra patrols in areas that are known to have a higher number of DUI crashes or arrests. And according to MDOT, more than 160 people die in our state each year in crashes involving impaired drivers.
