State Police To Increase Patrols For Cinco De Mayo

Maryland State Police will increase patrols starting Thursday for Cinco de Mayo weekend.

- Well, with Cinco de Mayo tomorrow, Maryland State Police expecting an increase in impaired drivers, and that is why they are now stepping up enforcement, they say. So each barrack will have extra patrols in areas that are known to have a higher number of DUI crashes or arrests, and according to MDOT, more than 160 people die in our state each year in crashes involving impaired drivers.
