State police investigating fatal Madison County crash

A 72-year-old Munnsville woman died Monday after a crash involving a tractor-trailer in Stockbridge, Madison County, New York State Police said in a statement.

Troopers said they responded to West Road, just south of Peterboro Road, just before 9 a.m.

A 2014 Toyota Yaris, operated by Debra L. Fowler, 72 from Munnsville, was traveling south on West Road when she crossed over into the northbound lane and struck a 2022 Freightliner tractor-trailer operated by Kevin Fallon, 52 from Philadelphia, PA head-on, troopers said.

Fowler was pronounced deceased at the scene, troopers said

Fallon was injured in the crash.

Troopers said the investigation is continuing.

State Police were assisted at the scene by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Department of Transportation, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the Munnsville Fire Department.
