Missing Red Lion man found deceased in Delaware: state police

Update on Jan. 20: Daniel Hesketh, a Red Lion man who was reported missing, was found deceased in Delaware, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Delaware State Police initiated an investigation Thursday into a deceased man in New Castle County, a news release states. State police from Pennsylvania and Delaware as well as a coroner kept in contact, and authorities confirmed that the deceased man was Hesketh.

Hesketh was found deceased inside a vehicle in Port Penn, Delaware, a public information officer for Delaware State Police said Friday.

Hesketh's cause of death is undetermined at this time, pending the results of an autopsy, the public information officer said.

"The Pennsylvania State Police appreciates the public's efforts, concern and assistance with this investigation," the release states.

State police are looking for a Red Lion man who has been missing for days.

Daniel Hesketh, 38, of the 100 block of First Avenue left his residence around 10 p.m. Jan. 13 in his vehicle, state police said.

He was last seen around noon Jan. 14 in Colerain Township, Lancaster County.

"He is known to stay in the Red Lion area," the news release states.

State police described his vehicle as a white 2008 Volkswagen Jetta with a Pennsylvania registration of LFZ8544. The car has damage to the driver side, and one front tire is replaced with a spare.
