State police seek information on driver who left scene of rollover crash on I-91 in Enfield

The Connecticut State Police are looking for the driver of a car who left the scene of a rollover crash on Interstate 91 in Enfield on Monday morning.

A Dodge Grand Caravan was traveling in the center lane of I-91 north prior to Exit 47E after 9 a.m. on Monday when it was struck by an unknown car attempting to merge from the left lane, state police said. The Dodge then hit the driver’s side of a Yale Electric box truck in the right lane. The truck then went off the roadway, hit a metal beam guard rail in the right shoulder and rolled over, state police said.

The unknown vehicle then left the scene of the collision, according to state police.

The truck driver, a 59-year-old man from Tariffville, was transported by Enfield EMS to Baystate Hospital. No other injuries were reported, state police said.
