State police say speed contributed to fatal Saturday night wreck

One person was killed in a single-vehicle wreck in Knox County on Saturday night, according to Indiana State Police.

Eric Boger, 37, died at the scene of the wreck on College Avenue in Vincennes, Indiana. The wreck was reported at 10:56 p.m. EDT.

State police investigators said Boger was driving a 2001 Toyota pickup truck too fast when he tried to turn from College Avenue onto 15th Street. The truck struck the curb and overturned, coming to rest on its passenger side.

According to the news release, Boger was not wearing his seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene by a member of the Knox County Coroner's Office. An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday, and toxicology reports were pending, state police said.
